The end of June 2013 will forever be lasting in my mind as not only was it right when I took over as the new owner of momstown Calgary, but also when our city and areas was hit by a devastating flood. With half the major roadways in the city closed I was chose to make the decision to cancel all momstown events that week.Instead we got to work in other ways, put the call out to see who needed help in our community and the response came. So I rallied my resources and got dirty helping out. It was such a emotional week on so many levels it will forever stay in my mind. As the city was cleaning out, my household started adjusting to our new "normal" schedule of momstown events and me working more! It was a adjustment for our household as my girls weren't quite sure how momstown was going to impact them. Now that we are over a month in they are all settled, and actually go to bed asking "what's happening with momstown tomorrow?!"I will be completely honest it has been a lot of work but it doesn't feel like work, I have met so many great moms and their kids this past month, that in itself is rewarding. Here is a quick look back on my first month with momstown .... enjoy!
Baby Basics (0-12months), we meet every Wednesday.

Junior Chef, we meet once a month to create a healthy snack made by the kids !

Our summer Park Hop. Each week we hit a new park around the city.
We had a great Tropicana Tropics in the park event. Everyone had a chance to sample the 4 flavors of juice, then the kids got to run around the park while the moms had a chance to visit.
... and so many more great activities this past month! See all the details on our Facebook page or on our momstown Calgary website.
