My first momstown Conference in beautiful Niagara Falls

Just 4 months, this is how long I have owned momstown Calgary... yet it feels so much longer (in a great way) that I have been apart of this amazing organization! When I first took over the Calgary Chapter the main focus was planning our birthday celebration, that finished and the focus was on fall conference. I had no idea what I was in for other then the fact that I was FINALLY going to meet those amazing  ladies who so warmly welcomed me to the team. I was a ball of emotions ... anxious, nervous, I was giddy like a child at Christmas!

1 o'clock am Nov 01, the Alberta team takes off, all thinking we would sleep on the plane seeing we all had been up for 19 hours already - NOPE! It was so awesome to see how excited these ladies were to head out to see everyone whom they had just seen 6 months prior. I knew I was in for a whirlwind 4 days.

First stop was at Ann Marie's house in Burlington where there was 2, 2014 Chevrolet Equinoxes waiting for us to take to Niagara Falls ~ thank you Chevrolet Canada.

...31 hours awake and we arrive at the newly renovated  Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls. The beds were calling my name, tried to have a nap but the excitement was still keeping me wide awake. Its the personal touches like a welcome card to a personalized dinner menu from The Keg that made my stay here that much more special.

After we checked in some of the team headed out to experience the Journey Behind the Falls courtesy of Tourism Niagara.

..35 hours in and we head to dinner and our awards ceremony at The Keg in the Courtyard Marriott. Some great chapters were recognized for their accomplishments!

.. 43 hours and finally time to hit the pillow :)

Saturday morning came fast but it was time to get to work! This conference was all about Innovation and Action within our business'. I can't give any hints but look out 2014 is going to be a founding year in momstown's history! We had craft time building rockets to represent our business', were  taught by the fabulous Shelagh Cummins from MomBiz, business book club and then we each had the opportunity to teach on  something we are rocking in our own business'.

Lastly we can't go to Niagara Falls without experiencing Niagara on the Lake winery Chateau des Charmes. Michelle Bosc lead us around  her family winery ending with a tasting of their new line  - Earth and Sky. Typically wine is paired with food, but Michelle decided to pair these wines to music. What a great way to taste wine, such a different experience!

To wrap it up, the trip was an amazing experience on both personal and business levels. I truly am so blessed to be part of such an amazing team.

If you think momstown is awesome now just wait until 2014!
