Fall Fun at momstown Art & Play in Calgary

Even though we are already in a snow covered winter wonderland,
momstown Calgary celebrated Fall at Art & Play in October.
We had a wonderful craft planned, a story and some games.

We set out to paint our fall tree masterpieces.
As we put out the paints and brushes, we talked about colour.  We had yellow paint and red paint, but no orange.  Some of our smart artists told us to mix the yellow and red together and voilà! ...orange!!


From there, everyone's individual personalities took over and we ended up with some wonderful creations!

After our little Picassos were finished and cleaned up, we played a fun game of bean bags!  Our little ones stood back and tried their hardest to get the bean bags in the leaf holes.  By the end, they were standing inches away and setting the bags in!  It was very cute!

After our games, we sat down to read our Scolastic Canada book of the month - Let it Fall.

The kids loved all the colourful pictures in this fun book about autumn.

Then it was time to learn a fun poem about 5 Little Pumpkins!  Hold up your fingers and thumb (your 5 Little Pumpkins) and have some fun!
