Beach Buddies - Hand and Footprint Lobsters

At my house, we love to do crafts and art activities, and it's not uncommon to see any or all of the kitchen floor, the kitchen table, and the living room floor covered with the evidence of our lastest creations. While we're never short of excuses to get the craft supplies out, we've been having particular fun with momstown's "At the Beach" theme this month. There are just so many fun projects that can be done with it.

Our latest creation is these hand and footprint lobsters. To make ours, we traced our hands and one foot onto red construction paper, and then cut them out and glued them onto a separate sheet of paper. Next, we used a red marker to connect the lobster's body (our feet) to its claws (our hands). We then drew red antenna, and glued on googlie eyes to complete the craft. It's also great to do this craft with paint. Rather than tracing and cutting out your hands and feet, simply cover them in red paint, and press them onto paper to make the lobster's body and claws.

There is always room for more people at our craft table. Come join us at one of our upcoming playdates!
