Picassos in the Park is a favourite momstown event where we get together in an outdoor location for some messy outdoor fun with paint, pudding, and other art supplies. If we could do it every week we would, but scheduling outdoor events can be hard with our unpredicatable weather. Our back up plan is "Picassos on the Patio": all the same messy fun, but on a patio instead of in a park, so that we can duck inside if we need to.
Last Friday we got together for a Picassos on the Patio playdate. In keeping with our "At the Beach" theme for the month, we created these paper plate masterpieces that make it look like you are peeking at what is going on underneath the water:
We painted with sponges and our fingers to make the blue background:
Glued on fishes and seaweed:
Admired each other's creations:
And went home with memories, masterpieces, and new friends made. It was a marvelous momstown morning!
I can't wait for our next momstown Calgary event.
